or something like that.
Actually, I started my cleanse yesterday. Yep, 21 days without alcohol, sugar, animal products, gluten, or caffeine. I know, sounds stupid, huh? Why punish myself like that? Well, I suwannee had this great idea to follow Kathy Freston's advice and do the cleanse, and I jumped on the bandwagon.
So far, last week, I eliminated Diet Coke (I was addicted) and red meat from my diet.
This week starts the rest. I have had few minor headaches (which could be related to my children, and not withdrawal) and a successful grocery shopping trip.
I can't for the life of me remember where I got this image. I saved it because I wanted to buy it, but dang if I can remember who did it.
I am really not looking to cleanse as such, but more to re-set my eating and remind myself to make better food choices. I love me some food, now, and I don't plan on never having ice cream or a T-bone again.
Wish us luck...

A Fine Balance by Rohinton Mistry was excellent, in fact it led me to read two other of his books. He is a fabulous writer. I cannot say enough. I think there are a couple more books of his that are left for me to read, and I'm going to get them under my belt this summer. I also highly recommend The Death Of Vishnu by Manil Suri.
Good for you! I try to eat a mainly veggie based diet, but to swear of ice cream and meat forever--well you are a much stronger person than I am.
I hope you'll blog about how it's going. As someone who struggles with eating ... issues ... I'm always interested to hear how other people eat.
Ah! I just gave up caffeine this week, too.
Keep us updated!
