oh how I hate the treadmill, oh I do
with all of the bells and whistles and lights glowing blue
with all of the bells and whistles and lights glowing blue
there are only three things you are good for:
holding my sweat towel and my water are the first two
and third is the softness of the tread on my shoe
I only step on you when the temperature is 10 degrees or below
or of course, if the wind is starting to blow
or of course, if the wind is starting to blow
the heartbeat monitor is never right
as soon as I step on it says I am about to take flight
Some say you are great because you keep my pace
others love you because you allow for a tv in my face
others love you because you allow for a tv in my face
the rest step on you to talk with their friends while they race
all I have to say to you dear treadmill
is that you have a lot of work to do
to convince me I need to spend more time on you!

This might be presumptuous of me, but I'd like to think that I inspired the second to last stanza of this lovely poem.
