good news for some Saucony lovers

I don't think I have a stress fracture (hurrah!). I was a good girl and didn't run all last week, and tried an easy 2 mile run on Saturday night. Not much pain, a little soreness, but I was able to complete. The real test was Sunday. Although I was supposed to do a long run with my girls Sunday morning, I still felt too sore in my hip to go. By Sunday evening I was feeling pretty good, and another (very experienced runner) gal and I went to try the softness on the treadmill for 3 miles. Once again, I completed it! Hooray! She said it was an unlikely place for a stress fracture, and probably just a muscle injury.

I don't have much soreness today at all, but am still resting. I will tackle a 4.5 miler tomorrow at lunch and report back...seems like my body was just trying to tell me something. REST!

For a few days there I was a little worried about what would happen on April 26th after all of this effort I have put in.
Hoping for a long run (7 miles) with the girls this upcoming Sunday.
ps, those above are my shoes, Saucony, and I LOVE them. I love them so much that I buy them over and over again, in every color, and often times 2 pairs at a time. Saucony should make me their spokesperson and send me pairs of shoes to try out...I'd even advertise for them on this here little blog...just saying!

Have you always been a runner?? I ran in college for lacrosse but not much since then. The baby weight is not going anywhere unless I shake it up. So...thinking of running again. I figured since my potential running buddy and yours are twins I would come here and see. Any pointers for a newbie??
